Championships and race series racing in Illinois, with every upcoming race weekend.

The biggest amateur race in the world, and the one every American pro has ridden. Six days at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Tennessee, 1,500+ riders across 36 classes, all of whom earned their spot through a nationwide qualifying process.

Statewide 2026 amateur motocross points series run by AMA District 17 (the district club council covering Illinois) across ~7 anchor venues, building to the AMA D17 Illinois Motocross State Championship at MC MotoPark, Mount Carroll.

Statewide 2026 amateur stadium-motocross points series run by AMA District 17 at small local Illinois tracks (mostly Friday-night racing), distinct from the AMA Supercross national tour, run alongside the District's own MX series. Rounds are billed as 'Sx' but race at small local tracks (Joliet Motosports, Moto Pro Inc, Jenneration MX) rather than AMA-Supercross-tier stadiums.

A ten-round 2026 motocross points series at Joliet Motosports Park in Wilmington, IL, sponsored by Express Powersports.

District 17's own multi-round Enduro Championship, run by a rotating set of D17-affiliated clubs across Illinois and neighboring states; points hosted externally via midwestenduros.com and linked from the district's official points page.

District 17's own multi-round Observed Trials Championship, distinct from the district's Motocross/Stadium Motocross program, run mainly by NITRO/FCR-affiliated clubs across Illinois with one round in Iowa.

Multi-state Midwest-touring amateur motocross series; only its season-opening weekend (Rounds 1-2) is in Missouri, with the rest of the season touring Illinois and Michigan.

AMA District 17 stadium motocross run by Moto Pro Inc. at Megacross in Mendota, Illinois, racing Saturday nights all summer since 1992. Ten rounds at the home track plus two season-closing rounds at Fox Valley Off Road Park in Utica.

Vintage-motorcycle motocross points series racing across Missouri, Kansas and Illinois; described by its own organizers as its biggest season yet for 2026.

AMA District 18 amateur motocross series run by Indian Hills MX LLC, with four rounds at Indian Hills MX Park on the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds and one round in Tamaroa, Illinois. Riders must race all rounds to be eligible for the year-end points championship.

A new five-round, stand-alone District 17 points series hosted entirely at Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, Illinois, launched for 2026 after Byron Motosports Park wound down its own racing program and the long-running Nuclear-Sunset Power Series ended. Riders must complete four of the five rounds to qualify for year-end awards, with a banquet and a pedal-assist e-bike giveaway drawn from every entry. The track's own schedule page lists six dates (Jun 28, Jul 18, Jul 19, Aug 16, Sep 6, Sep 20) but bills the season as a '5 Event Series', with Aug 16 a contingency reschedule date and Sep 6 its rain makeup. Aug 16 raced as scheduled, so Sep 6 went unused and the five counted rounds are Jun 28, Jul 18, Jul 19, Aug 16, and Sep 20.

Lincoln Trail Motosports' house points series in Casey, Illinois, a 10-round 2026 calendar, title-sponsored by Thor, that runs the full March-to-November outdoor season with AMA District 17 as supplementary points. Most rounds are a Saturday practice/select-classes plus Sunday main-card weekend, but two rounds break format: Round 3 ('Spring Shootout', May 23-25) is a 3-day, 3-moto Memorial Day weekend on the Bomber Track, and Round 7 ('Labor Day Clash', Sep 5-7) runs Saturday practice on both tracks followed by moto 1 on Bomber (Sunday) and moto 2 on Classic (Labor Day Monday). Every round has its own page on ridelincolntrail.com.

Season-long indoor points series (4 rounds, Dec–Mar) held at the Megatraxs indoor stadium-style motocross facility in Mendota, IL. The final round is billed on the official calendar as the 'Indoor Championship'. This is Megatraxs' own independent series, explicitly not an AMA District 17 event, run alongside but separate from AMA District 17's outdoor Friday-night stadium MX series at the same town's outdoor track (Moto Pro Inc).

District 16's Observed Trials program, run under director Keith Johnson jointly with the Wisconsin Observed Trials Association (WOTA), runs its own six-weekend 2026 calendar, separate from the district's Motocross and Off-Road/Enduro programs. Five of six weekends are in Wisconsin; the August weekend is a joint WOTA/NITRO meet in Lena, IL shared with AMA District 17. The schedule notes that all events are subject to change without notice.
